Savanna Conservation Africaโ€™s Wildlife Videography and Photographic Experience Program offers passionate photographers, filmmakers, and storytellers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the wild savannas of Africa โ€” while contributing meaningfully to conservation.

This program is designed for individuals who wish to hone their wildlife media skills, engage with expert conservationists, and document authentic stories from the field. Whether you're an amateur photographer or a budding filmmaker, this is your opportunity to work at the intersection of creativity, conservation, and culture.

Participants are embedded within our operational zones across South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, including partner wildlife reserves and community conservancies. Guided by professionals, you will explore a variety of habitats โ€” from grasslands and wetlands to forests and riverine systems โ€” capturing the lives of iconic African species and the people protecting them.

๐Ÿ˜ Wildlife Cinematography & Photography

  • Field-based shoots focusing on elephants, lions, antelopes, birds, and other species in their natural habitats.

  • Document predator-prey interactions, animal migrations, and ecological behavior.

  • Capture wildlife patrols, game counts, and translocation operations.

  • Gain access to sunrise and night-time filming opportunities for dramatic light and rare behavior.

  • Film and photograph habitat restoration efforts such as tree planting, erosion control, and wetland rehabilitation.

  • Capture real-time conservation research, including wildlife collaring, monitoring, and ecological surveys.

No formal media training is required, though some camera knowledge is advantageous. All participants must be at least 18 years of age and committed to responsible wildlife interaction.
