Vision Statement

"To be a leading force in sustainable conservation, where thriving ecosystems, empowered communities, and climate resilience harmoniously coexist, ensuring the long-term preservation of Africa’s biodiversity and natural heritage for future generations."

Mission Statement

Savannah Conservation Africa (SCA) is dedicated to the protection and sustainable management of Africa’s natural ecosystems through an integrated approach that balances biodiversity conservation, community empowerment, climate resilience, and responsible economic development. Our mission is to:

  1. Conserve and Restore Ecosystems – Implement science-driven conservation strategies to protect and rehabilitate wildlife habitats, ensuring ecological integrity and biodiversity preservation.

  2. Engage and Empower Communities – Foster local stewardship by involving communities in conservation efforts, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and improving socio-economic well-being.

  3. Enhance Climate Resilience – Develop adaptive conservation practices that mitigate the effects of climate change, enhance carbon sequestration, and support ecosystem restoration.

  4. Promote Sustainable Commerce – Establish responsible economic models, including ecotourism, sustainable agriculture, and ethical trade, to ensure conservation initiatives are financially viable and self-sustaining.

  5. Advance Research and Policy Advocacy – Support scientific research, education, and policy development to influence sustainable environmental management and conservation legislation at local, national, and international levels.

Through these commitments, SCA aims to create a future where conservation is not just an environmental responsibility but a shared economic, social, and ethical priority for all stakeholders.
