Cletus Dlamini: CEO-Founder- A Visionary in Wildlife Conservation, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development
Cletus Dlamini is a distinguished wildlife conservationist and the founder of Savanna Conservation Africa, a premier consultancy specializing in biodiversity and conservation management. With an advanced degree in Wildlife Management and a postgraduate qualification in Tourism Planning and Management from Mweka Wildlife College, he has spent decades pioneering the development of wildlife reserves, conservancies, and sustainable tourism projects across Southern Africa.
His expertise extends to founding and leading multiple conservation and resource-driven initiatives, including Cletus & Joe Safaris, Mashongwe Resources, Hurungwe Conservancy, and the Savannah Biome Foundation. As Conservation Director of Zambezi Tambara Conservancy, FTB Development Group, and other organizations, he continues to drive innovative conservation models that integrate ecological preservation with economic sustainability. With a deep commitment to the interconnectedness of nature, people, climate, and commerce, Dlamini remains at the forefront of shaping Africa’s conservation landscape.
Ashton Goronga – Director Ecology
Ashton Goronga is a dedicated ecologist with over a decade of experience in ecological research, conservation, and wildlife management. Currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science, Ashton specializes in ecological studies aimed at understanding and preserving biodiversity. His research interests encompass ecosystem dynamics, wildlife conservation, and sustainable environmental practices.
Throughout his career, Ashton has contributed to numerous research initiatives and conservation projects, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing ecological knowledge and promoting sustainable environmental management. His work is driven by a passion for wildlife and a desire to make a meaningful impact on ecosystem preservation.
Beyond academic and professional endeavors, Ashton has a profound appreciation for nature and actively engages in outdoor exploration and ecological observations. His enthusiasm for the natural world is reflected in both his research pursuits and personal experiences, reinforcing his dedication to ecological conservation and environmental sustainability.
Knowledge Musekiwa Vingi – Director GIS
Knowledge Musekiwa Vingi is an environmental scientist and natural resources ecologist specializing in sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and youth engagement in environmental policymaking. With over six years of experience, he serves as the Programs Coordinator at the Zimbabwe Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN Zimbabwe), where he leads stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy efforts. His expertise includes drafting biodiversity policy recommendations and coordinating youth-led conservation initiatives such as habitat restoration and waste management.
Academically, he holds a BSc Honours in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Zimbabwe. He has co-authored peer-reviewed scientific papers and was a 2022 Charles R. Wall Young African Policy Fellow under UNEP and the African Wildlife Foundation. His professional experience includes research roles at Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) and consultancy work in Mozambique on conservancy establishment, focusing on community engagement and stakeholder mapping.
An active contributor to global environmental discourse, Knowledge has participated in high-level forums, including the UN Wildlife Economy Summit, UNCBD COP15, and the African Ministerial Conference on Environment. His work continues to advance youth inclusion in biodiversity governance and sustainable conservation strategies.
Walter Kamunjangwari: Director Environmental Science & Policy
Walter Kamunjangwari is a seasoned wildlife specialist with over 15 years of experience in Zimbabwe’s national parks, where he has played a pivotal role in ecosystem monitoring and wildlife protection. Holding an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation, he has expertly managed key conservation areas, ensuring the integrity of Zimbabwe’s most renowned national parks. As a former Section Manager, Walter specialized in deploying patrol teams, enforcing anti-poaching strategies, and implementing ecological monitoring programs to safeguard biodiversity. His expertise in conservation management continues to drive impactful solutions for sustainable wildlife protection.
Milton Mpuche: Director Tourism
Milton Mpuche is a highly experienced wildlife specialist and safari tourism expert with an extensive background in conservation, guiding, and hospitality management across Southern and East Africa. His deep-rooted passion for nature and adventure has shaped his career, spanning over two decades in wildlife research, safari operations, and luxury tourism experiences. Milton’s journey began as a field guide and hospitality trainee in Zimbabwe, later advancing to senior management roles with esteemed safari operators such as Mantis Collection’s Shamwari Game Reserve, AndBeyond, Asilia Tanzania Safari Group, Drifters Tourvest Holdings, and Hideaways Safari. His expertise in wildlife ecology, guest experience, and conservation tourism has earned him regional recognition, making him a leader in sustainable tourism development.
He holds a Zimbabwe Professional Guide’s License, FGASA Professional Specialist Guide certification, SKS Birding qualification, Zambia Professional Guide License, a Master Boat Captain License, and certifications in Wildlife Management, Business Management, and Hospitality. Currently pursuing an MBA with Zimbabwe Open University, Milton continues to merge tourism with conservation excellence. As Tourism Director at Savannah Conservation Africa, Milton brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, ensuring visitors experience the unparalleled beauty of Africa’s wild landscapes while promoting responsible tourism and ecological stewardship.
